Mitchell had a doctors appointment this afternoon. His hemoglobin was 7.7 so he had to stay for a blood transfusion. He spiked a temperature and we almost had to stay the night but it broke and fell to normal fairly quick. With his numbers dropping he is isolated from the public for at least the weekend till his numbers start to come back up next week. It's frustrating for him. He said, "dad, it's like being a caged lion."

  1. Shoot, we were looking foward to seeing Mitchell at the game Sunday! I hope he gets better soon, its no fun being a caged lion! Colton thought of a great way for the team to honor Mitchell on the ice.... we found lime green stick tape so they will all be sporting green sticks for Mitchell :o) Take care and get well soon!

  2. We are sorry to hear about the caged lion feeling, bummer! Hopefully time will go by fast and Mitchell will be "free" from the cage soon. We are glad that the fever went away quickly. It's very nice what the team and everybody is doing to help with the spirit and all. We love you and pray that things turn around soon!

  3. Mitchell,

We are all thinking of you here in Colorado and I hope that the "Caged Lion" is set free soon. Hang in there big guy and stay strong, because you do have the Heart of a Lion.

    Love you,
    Grandma Moore.

  4. Hey Mitchell,
I think it's good you have to stay indoors. With all that fresh blood in you, vampires might stalk you if you went outside.
    Love you,
    Grandma K
