We had an appointment yesterday with Mitchell's Oncologist. They are still uncertain if they are going to do a biopsy, but informed us that it has shrunk even more. His blood counts were ok. There was no need of a blood transfusion. He goes in on Wednesday the 30th for his fifth, and hopefully final round of chemo.

He is doing very well and has been, for the first time since all this started, able to go outside and play with the neighbor kids. Tomorrow we are going to the fire station. He was invited to come down hang out and check out the station. Then we are going to a Winterhawks play off game.

  1. Awesome news of the tumor shrinking more, good blood count and no need of transfusion. We are very glad that you got a chance to play outside w/ neighbor friends and your plans for tomorrow, enjoy and we will be praying that your next round of chemo is your last one too. Go Winterhawks and go Mitchell.
    We love and miss you,

  2. Such excellent news all around! Love hearing that the tumor is shrinking and that his blood counts are good.

I loved seeing Mitchell running around the cul-de-sac playing with all the kids the past few days. Other than his bald little head one would never know what he's been dealing with the past few months. It's great seeing him be a regular 13 year old!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great!
    Livestrong and Cheers!

  3. We are back from our trip to Puerto Vallarta, but we took all of you with us in our thoughts and prayers. So happy to hear the good news of the tumor shrinking and only one more round of chemo for Mitch...he is such a trooper! Matt and Nickole, can you email us the flyer about Mitch to go with the bracelets so we can sell them? Thanks and see you soon!
